How to Connect Your Wallet

Everything you need to connect BotJinn to your Polymarket account, step by step.
What you'll need

You'll enter these credentials in Settings. All values are encrypted on the server and never exposed after submission. No API keys required - the bot derives trading credentials automatically from your private key.

Your Wallet

Find your wallet address

Your Wallet Address is the Polygon address of the hot wallet the bot will trade from. This is the address connected to your Polymarket account.

  1. 1 Go to Polymarket and open Account Settings
  2. 2 Select the Profile tab
  3. 3 Find your Address and click Copy Address — it starts with 0x
Funder Address: For most users, the Funder Address is the same as the Wallet Address. Only set it to a different value if you use a Polymarket sub-account (proxy wallet) setup, where a parent wallet funds a separate trading wallet.

Account login

Export your private key

The Private Key allows the bot to sign transactions on your behalf. It must belong to the same wallet as your Wallet Address above.

  1. 1 Go to Polymarket and open your Profile
  2. 2 Click Options in your profile menu
  3. 3 Select the Account tab
  4. 4 Find the Private Key section and click Export Private Key
  5. 5 Copy the 64-character hex string — this is your private key
Never share your private key with anyone. Anyone with your private key has full control of your wallet. BotJinn encrypts it immediately on submission and it is never retrievable or logged after that point. Use a dedicated hot wallet funded with only the capital you intend to trade - never your main wallet.

Deposit pUSD to your Polymarket account

Polymarket runs on Polygon. Your trading wallet needs a pUSD balance to place orders. Each strategy has a fixed MAX_ORDER_USD - the maximum amount the bot will spend per trade. Your balance needs to cover at least that amount for the bot to operate.

  1. 1 Log in to polymarket.com
  2. 2 Click Deposit and follow the on-screen instructions to transfer pUSD to your Polymarket wallet
  3. 3 Check the required amount on your Dashboard - the strategy card shows the minimum balance needed and the bot will display a warning if your balance is too low
Your wallet also needs a small amount of POL (Polygon's native token) for gas fees. A few cents' worth is enough to cover many days of trading activity.

Enable Auto-Redeem

When a market resolves and your side wins, Polymarket holds your pUSD until you redeem it. With Auto-Redeem enabled, Polymarket does this automatically - your winnings are returned to your balance without any manual action.

This is required for the bot to keep trading continuously. Without it, resolved winning positions stay locked and your available balance doesn't recover after a win.

  1. 1 Go to polymarket.com and open Account Settings
  2. 2 Select the Trading tab
  3. 3 Toggle Enable Auto-Redeem on
Do not skip this step. If Auto-Redeem is off, won positions will not return funds to your balance and the bot will eventually run out of capital to trade with.
Ready to connect?
Head to Settings and enter the credentials you just gathered. The bot will be unlocked once your API key and private key are saved.
